Description
|
|
Increases the capabilities of Autorun. Autorun has limitations
to only execute applications. Daboo AutoRun removes these
limitations by allowing executables or associated files to be
executed. For example: You want An HTML document to open with the
default browser when the cd is inserted. Autorun cannot do this,
but, Daboo AutoRun CAN.

Setup
|
- Configure DAR.ini
- AppPath > Path: This is
the path to the application you wish to execute. If this is
left blank, the application path is considered to be the
directory that the DAR.exe file is in.
- Apps > App: This is the
Application to execute. This can be pretty much any
application, the most common file types are: html, txt, doc,
exe. (Any file with an extension that is recognized by widows
will be opened with the default application. File extensions
not recognized by windows will be ignored.)
- Timer > ShowTime: This is
a numeric value between 2000 and 10000 (2 seconds and 10
seconds), this is how long the Daboo AutoRun logo will be shown
on the screen while the application is being executed. (The
following is an example of how to open index.html with the
default web browser when the CD is inserted.

- Copy DAR.exe, and Dar.ini to
the root directory of the CD
- Configure the Autorun.inf file
to run DAR.exe on startup.

Usage

Execution
|
- Daboo AutoRun is executed from
the Autorun.inf file on removable media, such as a CD or DVD. To
execute Daboo AutoRun, add “OPEN=DAR.exe” to the
Autorun.inf file as indicated in the setup.
- Once all of the files are
burned or copied to the removable media, DAR will be executed
when the media is inserted.
- The “Daboo AutoRun logo will show in the center of
the PC screen while the specified application executes or opens.

exe. This is not the limit, any file type associated with an
application in windows will work.
