I just attended my first Second Life Online Toastmasters meeting. It was very nice and covered all of the aspects that you would expect a Toastmasters meeting to cover. One exception, it was virtual.

All of the roles covered, tabletopics, joke of the day and two very good speakers. I filled the Evaluator role. The toastmaster hosted a Skype conference call, so we could all talk and the speakers could recieve their applause when they completed their speeches.

The first speaker of the day's speech was titled "What it your Conscience?"
The speaker did a great job of pulling us in and making us think about what to do when we are called upon to "pull the plug" or jump in and do what needs to be done because it's the right thing to do.

Our Second speaker's speech was titled "Organ Transplants - A New Paradigm".
He covered the exciting technology of organ transplants and how the technology is moving in a new direction. Rather than replacing the organ, treat the root cause of the issue before the organ fails. Very neat and exciting technolgy that I hope makes great strides to make life better for those that need it.

Overall, it was a very nice meeting and I'll be back next week as a speaker.
